Insurance Claim Assistance for Auto Body Repair in Markham
After an accident, the last thing you want is hours on the phone with your insurance company. Chipmaster Markham deals with your insurer’s adjuster directly on every claim and handles the invoicing for your auto body repair. All you need to do is tell your insurer that you are having your vehicle repaired at Chipmaster. In Ontario you also have the right to choose your own repair shop, whichever one your insurer suggests.
How your claim works with us
Email a few clear photos with your vehicle’s make, model and year, or call 905-294-9222. The estimate is free and you are under no obligation.
Let your insurance company know you are getting your vehicle repaired at Chipmaster. We deal with the adjuster directly and handle all invoicing with your insurer, so those calls and that paperwork do not fall on you.
Once your claim is approved and the vehicle appraisal is complete, you can drop your vehicle off right away. Collision work, dent removal, bumper repair, rust repair and paint matching are all done here in Markham.
We check the work before you get your keys back. Our workmanship and paint carry a lifetime warranty, with rust repair as the one exception. If your claim has a deductible, you pay it to us directly when you pick up your vehicle.
Your right to choose your own shop in Ontario
Your insurance company can suggest a shop, but it cannot require you to use one. The choice is yours. If your insurer is pointing you somewhere you would rather not go, call us and we will walk you through your options.
Claim through insurance or pay privately
We handle both. Some drivers prefer to pay out of pocket, and that is fine with us. You get a clear estimate either way, so you know the expected cost before anything starts. If you have a deductible on an insurance claim, you pay it to us at pickup. If you are not sure which way to go, send photos first. We will explain what the repair involves so you can decide with the full picture in front of you.
What we repair
Whether your claim comes from a parking lot bump or a serious impact, the work is done under one roof.
- Collision repair for everything from a minor bump to serious impact damage.
- Dent removal for door dents, parking dings and creases, repaired flush with the finish matched.
- Bumper repair for cracked, scuffed or split bumpers, repaired or replaced with the paint blended.
- Paint refinishing and colour matching using our Chameleon Paint Match Process.
- Rust repair, where we remove the rust, treat the metal underneath and seal it.
Matching your paint after a claim
A factory colour code gets you close. On metallic and pearl finishes, or on paint with a few years of sun and wear, a repair can end up visible. We analyse your vehicle’s actual finish before we mix, so the new paint blends in from every angle and not just straight on.
What an honest estimate looks like
You get a clear estimate before anything starts. On insurance claims, if more damage is found once the repair is underway, we submit a supplement directly to your insurer with photos and invoices for the additional work, and you do not need to do anything. If a part does not need replacing, we will tell you so, and you can decide with the real answer in front of you.
When to call us
Call after a collision, a parking lot bump, a scrape against a pole in an underground garage, or any time your insurer has asked you to get the damage looked at. The sooner we see photos, the sooner you know what the repair involves.
What to have ready
You do not need everything on day one, but these make the first call quicker, as far as you already have them: your insurer’s name, your claim number, the insured name and policy number, your adjuster’s contact information and the date of loss. Photos of the damage from several angles and your vehicle’s make, model and year also help.
Why drivers choose Chipmaster Markham

Every claim is different, so we cannot give a set number of days before we have seen the vehicle and your insurer has approved the claim. Once your vehicle has been assessed, we will explain what the repair involves and what to expect.
Our workmanship and paint carry a lifetime warranty for as long as you own your vehicle, covering defects and failures. It does not cover normal wear and tear such as stone chips, it is not transferable to a new owner, and rust repair does not come with a warranty. If something we fixed has an issue tied to our workmanship, bring it back and we will make it right.
